| View in browser June 9, 2022 LinkedIn — So Hot Right Now Have you seen the latest trends on LinkedIn? No — there are no #DanceChallenges involved but they could boost your content engagement. A new study provides some insight into the type of content you should focus on to grow your presence on the platform.  Native documents: PDFs uploaded directly to the platform (without redirecting) have been shown to generate up to three times more clicks than any other type of content. Try creating a carousel post of PDFs, with each as a swipeable image, and watch your click through rate soar.  Videos: Creating video can sound daunting, but you don't need to get too complicated. With the growing popularity of authenticity on social media, a quick and easy video may be all you need. For small to midsize accounts (that's probably most of us), videos generate the highest engagement rate per impression. Next time you have important news, a product update, or a great piece of thought leadership, consider turning your long-form post into a quick video. TL;DR: A new study shows posting native PDFs and video content is the best way to take advantage of LinkedIn’s high engagement levels. Ready to Meet Your Maker? Your brand likely already has a presence on most social platforms, but have you considered widening your efforts to the front page of the internet? That's right — we mean Reddit.   In a new video series, Reddit introduces “Meet Your Maker,” a showcase of innovative and creative brand activations. Redditors are an opinionated bunch, so creating a poll using Upvotes (Reddit’s version of a like), like noosa did,  is a great way to get the audience involved. What do these case studies have to teach us about Reddit promotions? Create awareness and excitement by engaging with an established community. Instead of trying to reach far and wide, go deep within a niche, engaged community to create a vested interest. Use a diverse mix of media. Take advantage of the unique offerings of the platform with promoted posts, videos, and GIFs. Embrace Reddit’s strong sense of personality and community. Authenticity is imperative for success on Reddit, so don’t be afraid to be real or embrace your humorous side. Cut some of those buzz words we B2B marketers love to use and use  a human tone to  make your copy more approachable and seamless within the Reddit ecosystem. Reddit may be an untapped space for many B2B marketers, but with over 50 million daily users and many niche, engaged communities to explore, it could be your chance to reach new audiences.   TL;DR: In its new video series, “Meet Your Maker,” Reddit highlights successful brand promotions, giving insights into best practices. Consider incorporating the platform into your social strategy to reach new and attentive audiences.  Listen In on Your Twitter Mentions Are your ears burning? If you’ve ever wished you could be notified exactly when someone was talking about your brand on Twitter, the platform is rolling out a new feature that may make your dream come true. Users will be able to subscribe to push notifications for specific search terms. Yes, you read that correctly. Soon you’ll be able to set alerts for keywords and receive alerts when anyone tweets them.   Social listening is an essential component of any strong marketing strategy, and the Search Subscribe feature will help ensure that your listening is relevant and laser-targeted to the topics that matter most to your brand. You can set up alerts for your company name, key people at your organization or in your industry, and for any topic or phrase that could be important for your business.    Search Subscribe is only available in the Twitter Alpha app for now, and more details about how alerts will be delivered have yet to be released. But keep an eye on this pending feature, and consider how you can use it to keep tabs on pertinent conversations on Twitter.   TL;DR: Twitter is testing a Search Subscribe feature that will allow users to subscribe to push notifications for specific search terms. Use it to stay on top of chatter relevant to your brand. What Lit Us Up The Transformative Power of NFTs Still confused about NFTs? A new ad campaign touted as the first NFT series designed to save lives sheds a new perspective on the concept and raises money for cancer research in the process. Buy My Cancer is a collaboration between the the Alivia Cancer Foundation, Ogilvy, Polish artist Pawel Swanski, and the Institute of Oncology in Gliwice, Poland that takes microscopic images of real, live cancer cells and turns them into astonishing works of art that will be sold as NFTs.   The key with NFTs is that they are non-fungible, aka one-of-a-kind and unable to be replicated, which gives them value. NFTs can be anything digital — from drawings to music to video. Funds made from the sales of the Buy My Cancer NFTs will be donated to the Alivia Cancer Foundation, helping to finance a new cutting-edge immunotherapy treatment for cancer known as CAR-T. Swanski is the first artist to participate in the campaign, and he will nominate the next artist to partner with the innovative project to create a fresh round of NFTs.    NFTs are already changing the art world, and this powerful ad campaign demonstrates their potential for raising both awareness and funds for important causes, too. As this exciting space continues to grow, think about how you can leverage the technology as a marketing tool to raise awareness and get people talking about your brand.   TL;DR: A new NFT series transforms photos of cancer cells into purchasable art to raise money and awareness for treatment. Keep your eye on the evolving potential of NFTs, and begin thinking about how you might use the technology in your marketing.  ICYMI TikTok introduces new trends discovery tool via Hootsuite Meta developing 'basic ads' with little or no data targeting via Media Post Snapchat shares new data on AR's place in brand marketing toolkit via Snapchat for For Business (Was this email forwarded to you?
